ECONEBO Selects HAIXIN Suspended Bed Hydrogenation Process for SAF Production


The Econebo plant ( www.econebo.com ) aims to produce bio-kerosene (SAF/SPK) to supply airlines with sustainable aviation fuel in accordance with the international CORSIA agreement, which requires 10% of jet fuel to be replaced by bio-kerosene by 2030.

With the aim of optimising capital investment and operating costs, ECONEBO selected Beijing Haixin Energy Technology (HAIXIN), a Shenzhen-listed company (300072), to supply the hydrogenation technology and build the refinery. The HEFA process has been enhanced through the use of HAIXN's Suspended Bed Hydrogenation, which facilitates the acceptance of various feedstocks, including 3rd generation feedstocks.

This technology, developed by Haixin and approved by the aerospace industry, also offers important advantages in terms of the ability to recycle the catalyst, resulting in huge savings in the process.
