MCT, Suspended Bed and Fixed-Bed Technologies
HXELAB develops and deploys industrial hydrogenation and hydroprocessing schemes for SAF and renewable diesel production.
Our core process configurations combine:
- Suspended-bed hydrogenation (HSBH / MCT),
- Fixed-bed hydrotreating, hydrocracking and isomerization units,
- Hybrid schemes, adapted to feedstock quality and product targets.
Why MCT / HSBH
Suspended-bed hydrogenation allows:
- high tolerance to oxygen, acidity, metals and contaminants,
- processing of degraded and advanced feedstocks,
- stable pressure drop and long operating cycles,
- reduced pretreatment requirements compared to fixed-bed-only HEFA schemes.
Engineering Scope
HXELAB provides:
- process configuration and technology selection,
- integration of suspended-bed and fixed-bed units,
- hydrogen management and energy integration,
- feedstock pretreatment strategy definition,
- debottlenecking and refinery upgrade studies.
Engineering activities are supported by internal process teams and technology partners
such as Haixin, and executed with experienced EPC contractors.
